paper trail vote legislation
never got out of the House and Senate committees. This is totally outrageous. I emailed Linda Schade (http://www.truevotemd.org) with questions on what we can do next.

Does any one else have comments/advice on what to do next?

FYI ... I wrote to my legislators in district 42. Three answered.
- Democratic Senator James Brochin was a co-sponsor of SB9.
- Republican Delegates Aumann and Frank were supporters of HB107
(good for them!)

1. The only surprise here is
that people still think that the government is going to fix election fraud. Here we have a democratic state that won't do it. People are even trying to get legislatures in red states to fix election fraud. People are even trying to get the federal legislature to fix it.

FOLKS, they won't do it. Only the people could fix this problem directly via the initiative procedure. Initiative is the ONLY way to fix all ten of the problems that the Conyers report addresses. Those are the problems that the republiclones like just the way they are.

Please, I challenge you to show me a way to count every vote without a massive national campaign across multiple jurisdictions, using initiative procedures. Please stop ignoring this question and show me a another way. I'm all ears.

The fact is you can't show me another method. Fact is we're, collectively drinking the kool-aid. The fact is your continuing to ignore the ONLY possible solution and ignoring the probability of success. Don't believe me, but don't just leave the question hanging and unanswered, please consult with someone you believe or have faith in. Ask those that have been involved in initiatives. Initiatives are all about empowerment.

Maryland has the initiative procedure, enacted 1915. What do you think the people would vote on this issue after a quality voter education campaign. I'll tell you, they'll pass it overwhelmingly. Given the chance to fix this debacle every states voters would fix it. In my opinion most of the red states would even fix it. These aren't politicians we'd be approaching.
