I just got a recorded PUSH-POLL!!! Have you gotten this call?
It started with, "Does it concern you that the state legislature is pushing special rights and privileges for homosexuals?" "Would you like the opportunity to vote on whether homosexuals should receive special rights and privileges?" And several questions like that. Then went on to ask if I'm pro-life, and some other questions.

At the end, the voice said it was sponsored by "votemarriage.org," which I googled:

1. Donations to that site go to...
www.TakeBackMaryland.org

Which has a an online form opting-out students from the homosexual teachers' agenda disguised as safety classes:

http://takebackmaryland.org/Resources/PDFFILES/school-opt%20out.pdf

3. You are specifically forbidden from addressing issues of homosexuality, bisexuality, lesbianism, transvestitism, transsexuality, sado-masochism, pedophilia, beastiality or other alternatives to monogamous hetrosexual marriage to my child in any manner or form that would convey the message to my child that such orientations/behaviors are immutable, unchangeable or harmless.

...

4. This prohibition extends to any legitimization or normalization of these sexual orientations/behaviors no matter how your program or approach is defined or packaged, including but not limited to any instruction, materials or conversation related to “diversity” “tolerance” “multi-culturalism” “gender studies” “family life” “safe schools” “hate crimes” “AIDS education” or the like.

...

6. I am aware that politically active “gay and lesbian” teachers and other school system employees across America have organized for the purpose of legitimizing homosexuality and related sexual orientations to schoolchildren, using various pretexts such as the theme of “school safety.” I consider it the duty of the school to protect my child(ren) from any such activities.

Dang! They're onto my dog/man love lessons.

3. in their ugly little universe
after they've rounded up and executed all the eeeeevul homasekshuls, I wonder what they'll be outraged over next.

I can't imagine hating someone I've never met so hard that it would keep me awake at night gnashing my teeth and tearing my hair and obsessed with it every single second of the day. It would probably give me cancer from the stress alone. I have this image of those people kind of like the mothers in the movies "Ruby" or "Carrie" . . . except they're for real!

2. that is a frightening site
they appear to honestly believe that THEY know better than God.

Does God make mistakes? His followers say "No" but then these folks say YES. To them God's design is flawed if it leads same sex couples to love each other. Amazing.

I want my country back, the one with separation of church and state...

5. He can't
Maryland is not an initiative state. To get something on a statewide ballot, the legislature must pass a constitutional amendment. That isn't happening and its already too late for 2006.
