Milford pastor charged with statutory rape

A 31-year-old woman who leads a Milford church is facing charges that she raped a child.
Ana P. Almeida, 31, was arraigned in Milford District Court Thursday and released on $500 bail and placed under house arrest, Worcester district attorney;s spokesman Tim Connolly said this morning.
Almeida was charged with one count of statutory rape of a child and four counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older, said Officer Mike Pasacane of the Milford Police.

MILFORD, Mass. -- The female pastor of a church in Milford faces charges that she repeatedly raped a child in her congregation over a period of two years, according to The MetroWest Daily News.
Police allege Ana P. Almeida, 31, pastor of the Plenitude of God Church, sexually assaulted the girl 11 times beginning in 2006, when the girl was 14 years old.

Almeida, of 13 Colonial Road, Apt. 7, was arraigned Thursday in Milford District Court and charged with one count of statutory child rape and four counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older. She was placed under house arrest and ordered not to contact the girl or her family.
The girl told police that the assaults occurred at Almeida’s Colonial Road apartment and her former home at 22 Lincoln St., Apt. 1, in Milford, according to the paper.
