I automatically question gender studies or polls as a matter of principle. But I take this one at face value here. Ya think it has anything to do with that fading fuckablility so required for "self-esteem" and demanded by patriarchy?

After 40, what do we see as desirable? Bleach blond hair, fake boobs, face lifts, trout lips, anti-aging creams, "How to dress 10 pounds lighter" All that "women" magazine bullshit. Before forty, same shit only with a higher competitive edge, since it matters more.

Or perhaps the career blockades a woman faces just because she's female?

Or, maybe, that other "studies" show that men still aren't getting off their asses and "helping" with the housework, leaving a woman with the primary parenting AND the dishes

Or the constant attacks on a woman's right and sovereignty over her own body. Anti-choice women can't possible examine that one too close. The ultimate in cognitive dissonance

OR, the sly little studies and articles in the mass media gleefully pointing out a woman's "natural" instability. Ya know, Hormones and shit.

I won't even get started about living in a rape culture and the inherent violence in such a culture.

Then some asswipe produces this lovely little study, which essentially says, those women you know, we all they do is bitch, They got equal rights don't they? they don't know HOW to be happy. Just pull on your stepford face ladies, and get with the program.

Fuck that. I don't even have to defend my own happiness, because if some dumb motherfucker asks me with a survey asked me, I'd point out a few things that are in my way.
