Flutie is a few years younger than Brown.

The Cosmopolitian article states Brown was 22 in 1982 so that makes his year of birth 1960 and Flutie's is 1962.

This has nothing to do with the college connection, I just think Cosmo's suggested campaign slogans for Brown are pretty funny.

of Brown's support. His daughter (American Idol singer) Ayla is a star on the BC basketball team and is a local celebrity. He probably attracts a lot of Boston College - related Catholic support. BC is often a voice of liberal Catholics but there are probably a lot of personal relationships with Brown family and certainly with Flutie.

chapter at Boston College...Not a big surprise. Athletes, especially white ones, are often pretty conservative from what I've seen and experienced over the years. The Bill Waltons and Adam Morrisons really are the exception.
