To win the Ames Straw Poll Rick Perry needs write in votes.
If his supporters misspell(and you know many will) his name by writing it Parry. The vote will probably still count because the intent is clear.
Colbert is promoting his own candidate by the name of Rick Parry.
All those misspelled votes will go to him
And it's legal

7. I think if Perry were to win with lots of Parry votes thrown in then the others

will have a total conniption fit. It will show that a conservative/liberal comedian put Perry over the top or at least increased his showing. Messing with their "minds" big time. If Perry were to win then people like Bachmann will really have to spin it.
