149. Someone has to be responsible for their actions and words
intentional or not. A person who accidentally hits a pedestrian while driving home is still responsible for their injury or death though they never intended to hit the person. He's responsible for making a racial slur regarding MLK whether he meant to or not. All he can do is apologize for his words and see what happens. You're right in saying that despicable is too strong of a word, but that was a result from typing in haste. I think unfortunate and/or regrettable would be a better choice.
