Mothers differ on mom trying to talk to Bush

Three mothers who have drawn comfort from each other after having lost sons to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan do not see eye to eye concerning the actions of another mother, who is demanding an explanation from the president of his handling of the troops.

...

Minucci says Sheehan's vigil undermines support for the troops.

"If she wants an explanation from the president, she needs to see a psychiatrist first," Minucci said. "She should be very proud to know her son died to help keep our freedom."

On the other hand, Kenney says Bush should speak with Sheehan.

"I don't think she will get the answers she will be looking for, but Bush should act like a man and not like a president and have the decency to see her," Kenney said.

...

"I don't want to be political about this, because I support the troops," she said. "But I'm not too sure about how I feel about the war now. I know if it were not for the war, my son would still be alive."
