126. ATC transmission from Approach handed them off to Tower....
...close to, what I suspect, was the FAF. I'm going to guess that they dropped the gear at the OM and configured the flaps a little too quickly. That and an elevator overwhelmed by icing may have led to the accident. I do not know the anti-icing protection of the Q-400 on the empennage, so like you I will wait for NTSB.
