I've been unemployed for 3 years, after almost 30 years in publishing and advertising, including owning my own business for 5 years. I've never seen so few jobs in my life and I look EVERY day. Before this, I never had more than a 2 week gap between jobs and now I don't see anything on the horizon.

A few weeks ago, I had 2 very intensive, 4 hour interviews with company, and then found out the guy that was going to hire me, got fired himself!!! Everyone's scared to death right now - afraid to hire - afraid to take any kind of risk and holding on for dear life!

Luckily, my husband has a good job, but I miss working. I'm taking an on-line class to figure out what to do with the rest of my career.
