I am a member of the Mississippi Valley Blues Society, and I just want to let folks out there in DU land know that this year, the MVBF is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Civil Rights bill which was signed into law on July 2, 1964 by President Lyndon Johnson. A few politicians have been invited to speak and there will be others who have been directly involved in the movement many years ago, and even today. Gov. Vilsack and Lt. Gov. Pederson have been invited as well as Congressman Boswell. And if you people want to hear some GREAT Blues music, c'mon down to the Mighty Mississippi River and celebrtae Civil Rights in America and an American form of Music, Da Blues. For more info, go to
