There is no shortage of American computer programmers.

Companies prefer Indian computer programmers because of lower-wages, not because they're better at math.


I once worked with a programmer that had to be given the formula to compute the distance between two points.

It included a square root symbol and he asked me seriously: "what does that mean?"

I'm not joking.

I then asked him if he even had a high school diploma. He said "of course!"

Now how does someone get out of high school never knowing what a square root symbol looks like?
