66. Freedom? I don't think that word means what they think it means!
If ever there were a framing issue that liberals need to pick up, it is that the religious right's political goals are precisely to limit freedom. They oppose a woman's freedom to birth control and abortion. They oppose gays' freedom to marry. They oppose scientists' freedom to experiment with embryonic stem cells. And on and on.
We are the ones who are fighting for liberty. Not they. The cognitive dissonance in a bunch of control freaks thinking they stand for freedom would be funny if it weren't now so dangerous on our political scene.
