Iraqis Voting for a Parliament; An Islamist-Secular Split Is Seen
By DEXTER FILKINS 1:12 AM ET

Kind of stange in that an Islamist (Fundy)- Secular (DU) Split is exactly what we are experiencing in this country. More than anything else, we as a nation are split between the RW Religious Zealots and the Left side Progressives. It seems to be the same in Iraq and I'd even venture Iran. Religion vs. Progress.

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.

I am somewhat befuddled by my own revalation.
