5. America L would be much too far-sighted to adopt a 2-party system.
With the benefit of hindsight, they'd surely not want to restrict political expression to just two slightly-different flavors of the Oligarchs/CorporateDonors' Party.

Ooops - News Bulletin: America L has just been invaded and crushed by America R. Oh well. It was beautiful while it lasted. :-(
