Nothing spectacular (like you have in Alaska) but enough to have fun. My favorite is a little river about twenty miles from where I live called the Vermillion--the runs is only about a half mile long, but it's got a cool slide/waterfall called triple drop where you lose about 20 feet of elevation in about 30 yards. This includes a seven or eight foot fall. When the flow gets to about 300 cubic feet per second (the river averages about eighty) the features get pretty muscular.
