5. Well, they are instructive, aren't they. And the cooking shows.
I suppose a show with a purpose other than to throw strangers at each other and watch the fun isn't a reality show in the strictest sense. Most of the reality shows are horrible, and the competition ones where you have to figure out which guy is your daddy, or do something gross for money. All about baser instinct really.

But I did like the Cirque one on Bravo. And the "Next Food Network Star" on the Food Network. And Animal Precinct on the Animal Planet.

But I agree that most of these shows suck. They are cheap to put out, so I think the networks are addicted to them.
