It's been a while.

Glad you're getting rid of the smokes. Some day, I'll do the same.

Since you asked, the struggle continues, but I've had more good days than bad over the last couple of weeks. For me, that's a significant victory.

And tonight, I'm happy, because I've heard from you, and a few other important people. Friends are everything, and hearing from good ones after an absence is a blessing. So I'm happy.
