one day, she was on line and something she got didn't scan properly and the cashier had to get one of the grocery boys to get another item.

My mom quietly apologized to everyone in line for the wait.

However, the bitch on wheels next in line put in her two cents, by saying, "you have made a lot of enemies here" (very bizarre, I know).

so my mom feigned embarrassment and motioned for the women to come closer.

When she did my mom whispered to her with a kind smile on her face, "fuck off and die".
