Some back story in case you were having trouble going back to sleep...
We just moved to another part of the state so that I could be close to the school that offered the physical therapist assistant program that I wanted to attend. We both got jobs shortly after we moved so that we could get established in the new area. The jobs were for chiropractors and were both horrible, so we decided to regroup. My S.O. found a great new job with excellent pay. This was not the position he interviewed for, but they liked his experience so much that they went ahead and created a new position they had been considering. This was going to let me relax and look for a part time job so that I could start to focus on school.

He was two weeks into the job. They have done nothing but sing his praises since he started. Friday he turned in his mileage for the first time. They acted a little surprised, even though he has not driven anywhere that they have not told him to go.
This morning just after he walked in the door he got the 'would you mind stepping into my office for a sec' line. What it boiled down to was poor planning on their part. He was going to cost the small company more than they had anticipated and decided to let him go saying 'it was only on a trial basis anyway'. They never bothered to tell him this.

He has been so excited about this job. Its all he talks about. And today he called me and told me the news while on his way back home. It killed me. His face was white as a sheet when he came through the door. ;(

Now, we are both jobless, and I don't even have any full time prospects right now. I've been spending my days lazily looking for a part time tech position and photoshopping my face! For a week after he got the job he ignored call backs from other jobs he'd applied for. Now the phone has stopped ringing, and we are back to square one.

I'm trying not to panic or dwell on the time I've wasted lately... :scared:

I could use a little of that awesome DU good energy if you have any to spare.
