I wish you the best bud. I just went through my dad being treated for lymphoma. Thankfully, he's in remission. But you should NEVER pass on an opportunity to tell those you care about, just how much you care about them.

Your email is thoughtful and very appropriate. And I'm sure your dad appreciated it, even if he doesn't say so. Sometimes it's hard for men of a certain generation to reciprocate, but don't EVER feel 'stupid' about sharing your feelings to them. For the most part, they 'get' it, otherwise chances are they would have never produced a decent human being like yourself.
