I was driving on 2 southbound lanes when a truck in the other lane suddenly hit the brakes hard. I couldn't see why he was doing that but naturally I got on mt brakes pretty hard too, just as a large dog darted from in front of the truck and directly into my path. There was nothing I could do to avoid it and I hit the poor animal doing about 50. My teen daughter was in the car with me and became extremely upset so I phoned it in and then took my daughter home instead of to the dental appointment we had been on our way to. Horrible experience.
