Reply #12: I helped a pair of dogs one time in a similar situation.

I was traveling home on a rural road with a 55mph speed limit, I crested a hill and the was a semi-truck stopped in one direction & a couple of cars stopped the other way. I saw two dogs standing in the middle of the road, a whinerwhimer & an English bulldog. The bulldog had a scarf on, they were both well fed. NOBODY would actually get out of their freaking cars to help them! I pulled over, whistled & they came right to me on the shoulder. The traffic went by as I discovered the female Bulldog liked belly rubs. The whinerwhimer was also a friendly fella as he decided to lick my face. I looked at their tags and was preparing to load them into my truck for the ride back to their house when their owners showed up. The woman was hysterical, crying and all that. She might have thought the bulldog was injured since it was lying on its back getting a belly rub. They loaded them up & brought them back home.

We had an incident down here where a man had left his wallet & some cash on top of his vehicle after filling his car. As he pulled away the cash flew & some idiot called the police reporting that he had robbed the gas station?????? The police caught up to him & his family (with the family dog) and did a "felony stop". They did this without actually confirming any robbery took place. They had it all on tape, the man repeatedly asking the cop to close the door so the dog wouldn't get out. The dog hops out of the car TAIL WAGGING and approaches a cop. What does the asshole do? He shoots it dead. That individual is no longer in law enforcement. It made me sick to my stomach & I have lost any respect I might have for anyone in law enforcement.
