had my parents not come to their senses in 1961 about me getting teased in school ;) (This is Texas, remember...)

So, it became "Eric", thinking no one else was going to name their boys "Eric" or "Erik" or "Erick".

There were five of us in high school band in 1979, with two in the same section (euphonium) :P
