Some of the cops assigned to the Gay Village patrol are obviously gay, and nobody gives them crap about it.

I can deduct any unreimbursed medical costs from my taxes, including medical marijuana. I can also deduct transit passes.

People in the waiting room at the free clinic don't get up every 5 minutes to complain to the front desk that it's taking too f*cking long.

Dem peeps can't drive worth a shite, but *damn!* they queue in a civilized manner wherever a line occurs (metro, theater, etc.)

I could go on, but even the s.o. has admitted we're better off here than in the States. And this winter wasn't bad at all.
