But I notice that you've responded to this subthread with increasing snarkiness, making it quite clear--based on nothing except my skepticism that a majority of Iowans will prove more liberal than a majority of Californians--that you've decided I'm against gay marriage.

I must report that your skills at emotional projection exceed your skills at reading my mind. Nothing would make me happier if we, as a country, could get beyond the whole business of minding other peoples' personal business, including who they marry. I doubt it'll happen, but it would be a refreshing development. But my experience is that far too many people are too narrow minded and assholish--and I say this with reference to people opposing marriage equality, not with regard to you acting like an asshole on DU. Opposing marriage equality is far worse than the casual sticking one's nose into someone else's business when a total stranger decides to tell me what I think. That's just briefly annoying.
