Where do you keep your toothbrush?

I ask because this is an important question because of the toothbrush/toilet connection...

WASHINGTON - There is a connection between your toilet and your toothbrush.

A study funded by Brillo finds 46 percent of people do not sanitize their toothbrushes.

Dr. Phillip Tierno, author of "The Secret Life of Germs," says you should at least rinse your toothbrush in mouthwash or peroxide before you use it.

The reason?

Every time the toilet is flushed, fecal bacteria is sprayed up to 20 feet into the air. The filth gets on everything.

Tierno, who is director of clinical microbiology and immunology at New York University Medical Center, says you should at least keep your toothbrush in a drawer, and close the toilet lid before you flush.

I know this is old news, but I just heard it last night. I'm glad my toothbrush is electric, and I keep the brush heads in a cabinet.

Also, anyone that leans over without closing the lid and flushes...you may want to rethink that strategy, no?
