and I'm a Mac user (also use Windows), so I can understand your sentiment.

Of course, I also must say that the Tivo I used was the old version not the newer version that they have now. and I haven't ever seen the direcTV version of Tivo.

I've used a Tivo for a long time and although I do have to say that I like the button layout on the Tivo remote better, I prefer the menuing in TW's DVR much better than Tivo's.

Much like using the Mac, I don't have to think about using the TW DVR, because it is integrated with the listings navigation functions that I am used to using. Also, I wasn't fond of the constant knocking sound whenever I pushed a button on the Tivo. Although perhaps those issues have all been solved with the newer Tivoes.
