'Pubbies are realizing they might have made a major mistake. Their worst nightmare would be to have a dynamic minority candidate like Bustamante take charge and get the state on track before the election next year.

The state still has a solid Dem majority. Whether or not the recall passes--if Dems show up at the polls Republicans are in trouble, and they know it.
