My little Dixie Chicks story and idea for any bored activists out there...

Back in 200? after Nat had spoken those famous words about Bush I was lurking around FReekerland.
They had all kinds of evil little coniving going on...contacting radio stations and sponsors and lists of emails associated with the Chicks and their management. Real sweet stuff.

So, I gathered up a few of the juiciest threads and examples of their hateful activism and sent an advisory over to the Chicks management so they could see the kinds of rightwing SOB's who were targetting them and not feel like it was ordinary or normal people expressing so much outrage.

Soon after their manager was quoted saying they were being targetted by an organized rightwing conspiracy!!

They were grateful...I was contacted by the management and they took my address and sent me all three albumns (already had two!) and some nice 5x7 pics. That wasn't all though.....me and my gf got free tix to a Calgary AB Canada concert AND we got to meet them before the show!! It was great.

It's an idea if you're bored. Lurk around the repukes a bit and see who they're targeting and make the target wise to the source.

The FReeks were targetting a town council on time for some resolution they passed. I forget which one. The mayor and council email addies were were all posted for freeping and they were tickled pink with themselves over all the outraged/nasty/threatening notes they were sending to the town council. I let the whole council know who was behind it, and got a very grateful reply to the effect of "we were wondering why we were getting so many nasty emails!"
No free concert that time....but still rewarding! :)
