http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Richardson http://billrichardsonblog.com/ http://www.governor.state.nm.us/governor.php

As a congressman, Ambassador to the UN, secretary of Energy and Governor (he just won re-election by the widest margin in NM history) he is arguable the most experienced person in the 08 mix right now.

He has a true love of diplomacy (a complete 180 from Bush), and has 4 Nobel Peace Prize nominations for his foreign negotiations.

Some people feel he didn't do enough for the 2004 New Mexico recount. However, he has since done a lot more to secure voting than most other governors...

Santa Fe, NM - Governor Bill Richardson yesterday signed a bill making New Mexico the fourteenth state to require voter-verified paper ballots (VVPBs) for its voting systems. As amended and passed, New Mexico Senate Bill 678 also requires audits to compare a portion of paper ballots with electronic vote tallies.
