1. Wesh Terrier, this is great analysis

This war is a true dilemma for Dems.As I read your post
for some reason I recalled a Bill Schneider, CNN Politacal
Analyst piece--in which he pulled out some poll numbers
reflecting the Democratic Congress(House and Senate) are
NOT getting high marks in the polls for the action on
the war so far.

IMO, this can encourage especially the Senate Republicans
to obstruct and do whatever damage they can do.

Those questionable Conservative Democrats had best find
a way to "play nice with the Progessives and God Bless
those Liberals who are not afraid to admit to their
philosophy. If they dither around wringing their hands
and hiding under their desks as before the war began,
and thus help us lose the next election, it will be mighty
hard to forgive them.

There comes a time in each person's life when they must
stand up and be counted. For Congress it means thinking
of the the good of our Country above their own re-election
or election. Do what is good for the country and you
will win elections by the barrel full.
