4. Russia and China will not, and do not have to do anything
If we are stupid enough to attack Iran, the Shia in IRAQ would unite against us. It would immediately put our troops in Iraq in even more peril than they currently are. It would open up a second front on the with Iran, and Turkey would probably make a major move against the Kurds, because we would be so tied up in other areas.

THe 60% Iranians who do not agree with the policies of their president, would unite behind him if we attacked Iran. It would also unite the radical elements in the region, jepardordize our allies position in the area, and be an economic world wide disaster, which would cause the world to go against us. If we think oil is high now, we haven't seen anything

Quite possibly if we attacked Iran, that would force us into a deep recession. Of course the amount of lives that would be lost would be a terrible price, and it would create a war without end
