If his staff fucked up, he needs to step up, say so, fire a few people, apologize, cancel the homophobe, and move forward.

He's trying to "ignore his way" out of this mess, like Felix Macacawitz Allen did. He's insulted a generous and motivated number of his constituency.

It didn't work for Felix, and while Barack has more charm and better bona fides, it may not work for him, either.
