for an offshoring, war-without-end Republican because he hates gays isn't someone who's a good fit for our Big Tent, anyway. Our tent has all the room in the world, but not for homophobes.

Hell, for every person of color who is a hater that we lose, we'll probably pick up a few Log Cabiners.

I'm not "scared" of that GOP strategy. And I am glad that you aren't either. Most of us aren't. They can try it all they want, but I can't see it working. The black voter is better informed on the issues than the population as a whole. And knowledge is power--about the only 'one issue' that might move that voting bloc to override other concerns would be personal, astoundingly favorable economic promises, and the GOP doesn't have much of those for the bulk of us, save something that 'trickles down' on us and smells a bit funny.
