63. Of course there's a double standard
The history of Latinos in America is very, very different from the history of blacks in America. The rules the old white Establishment invented (which you seem to think I just made up) were specifically to keep African-Americans first enslaved, then disenfranchised and uneducated, then politically neutered. Not that Latinos haven't faced similar discrimination - but there were longstanding, deep reasons the whites who were in power, especially in the South, had for keeping blacks and whites as separate as possible.

If you don't know this, I don't have time to tell you about it. I am already regretting spending ten minutes of my life finding the links to support for first post.
