Not within the context of DU, but in real world context. The rich whites in South Africa were a minority. So are the Repugs in Congress and the WH but they still manage to oppress the majority - in fact, the way the rules are currently written, they can continue to oppress us most of the time thanks to the Electoral College which allows them greater representation than they really should have. The minority Sunnis oppressed the majority Shiites in Iraq. In point of fact the minority is able to oppress the majority a good part of the time in real life.

But your point is probably valid on DU (if you consider it oppression). I personally don't see how it can rise to that level, but if you're feeling oppressed then you're feeling oppressed and I'm sorry to hear that there are fellow DU'ers who are feeling that way.
