36. I don't hate him, because hate is a destructive thing.
But if he wins the primary, I'll be voting for him with a VERY heavy heart. I've been trying to forgive him for the Donnie McClurkin thing, but it's so damned hard when all I ever hear from his supporters is that I'm a moron for even being upset about such a "non-issue".

It's hard to forgive someone for something when everyone on his side refuses to admit that he did anything to need forgiveness for--including Obama himself. The end result is that the very Real hurt that people like me have suffered over this incident is trivialized and dismissed as "unimportant", or even "sour grapes from losers". That marginalization is something I expect from Rethugs, but I never thought I'd see it from Democrats. I'd probably be on the Obama side by now, along with a lot of other angry and hurt GLBT people, if we had been given understanding and support from the rest of the liberal community, instead of the "Suck it up and stop whining about a non-issue" BS that we got instead.

I even had someone call me a racist. I've never been called a racist in my entire life. I'm still reeling from that one.
