'3am' ad star backs Obama, plans counter-punch

HILLARY Clinton might be about to get a taste of her own medicine.

The resurgent Democratic presidential candidate faced a moment of mild embarrassment on the campaign trail when a young girl, who was featured in her controversial 3am telephone call advertisement, emerged as a strong Barack Obama supporter.

Now it seems the girl will have a chance to star with her idol in a new ad which returns fire at the Clinton campaign.

The television ad featured a small girl peacefully sleeping in her bed while a somber voice behind the picture argues that the future US president should have enough experience and savvy to respond to an urgent telephone call coming to the White House at 3am.

The ad suggested the call would be alerting the next president to a global catastrophe that placed the United States in peril - and that voters should ask themselves who they want to be taking that call.
