9. Well, all those "Girls gone Wild" came from somewhere.
I don't think Hillary is a beacon of hope for females. We females boomers raised these young women (mothers and granddaughters alike). Do we have no responsibility in this? I know how I raised my daughter and how she is raising hers. We are educated females who have been working mothers and we can do both and do it well. It starts at home and with setting limits. Part of the problem, as I see it, is that too many of us can't live without luxury goods, fancy clothes, cars, appliances, and doodads so we need to earn much more. Or, we go into debt and have to work off our overindulgences or seek easy money elsewhere (e.g. playing the lottery or by illegal mean). What needs to happen is America is a radical shift on many levels--a redefining of the American dream and what it means to be a person in this society. "Girls gone Wild" is a symptom of a bigger problem. What is our culture selling and what have we been buying? It starts with us.
