Let me first make clear that the clips of Wright that have been played over and over are condemned. But with that, it has been nearly a week, and we are still seeing the same clips played over and over. I am sure the media has purchased many other sermons and have gone through them.

I just have not media show any of the other 99% sermons that Wright has preached at all in the media. Or the media talking about any of the good stuff that Wright and his church have done for the poor, the underprivileged, veterans, etc.

Like they have done so many times (especially 5 years ago with the IWR), the media is again failing us. They have successfully brought down Wright and the Trinity Church (and possibly Obama) without putting anything into context. It is understandable that no one is perfect, but to destroy a man's service to this country from 1-2 minute sound-bites is equally disgusting as Wright's most controversial statements. And the media continues to imply that

If I was an African American, I would be pissed off at this media coverage also. I would see it as a double standard with the media going after a black pastor and a black church but ignoring the Pat Robertsons, Jerry Falwells, Johh Hagee's of the world. I guess it is more acceptable to say that Islam should be destroyed or that the people of New Orleans deserved Hurricane Katrina for their sins rather than say something "unpatriotic."

It is quite sad to see that the media brought down Kerry, partially brought down Kerry by never really discussing the holes in the Swift Boat claims, and now destroyed one man's life of service because of 1-2 minutes soundbites. It is him and the people of Trinity Church who have truly become the victims of the media.
