My mother will be 78 this year and I always chuckle at that generation. They were children during the depression, teens during WW II, served in the Korean War, and many produced what would be the peak of bell curve of the infamous baby boom generation (the peak being babies born in the '50s). Yet I always tell my mom how rebellious her generation was - although they were always highly disciplined and kept just so.... rarely overtly displaying their radicalism. But it comes out during the oddest times..
