11. I think anyone here can vouch I'm no Clinton fan
but what bugs me about this is why the media is hyping it up the way they are. Geraldine Ferraro's comment was offensive but it wasn't the-end-of-the-world-bad the way they made it out to be. And I'm really disgusted at how poorly the Clintons handled the race issues after introducing them against a candidate who wasn't running on his race but the media has been hyping it up to make the situation 100 times worse than it should be.

GOP racists like Hannity focusing so much on the Clintons mis-steps while at the same time supporting Clinton just doesn't compute. Then they turn around and paint Obama as a radical with anti-semitic and racist tolerance while knocking down Clinton.

Something bad is up. The trolls posting racist things on democratic sites to anger people like you and me are giving that game away.
When I read your post, much as I love you brother, it makes me sad because Hillary may not deserve that enemy crown. She's my enemy on the war issue but now they've made her our enemy on the race issue too. My thoughts are too jumbled up right now after being in two race threads here (one of them was really, really ugly) so I'm not sure what I really think on that but I'm sure of one thing. The GOP has an ugly gameplan to get the Black vote and they're playing it to the hilt.

I didn't mean this to be a Hillary-bashing thread. I think the Clintons mis-steps, out of desperation to win, are playing into Mehlman's hands but I'm not so sure they were as end-of-the-world-bad like the media made them out to be. I think one of the reasons we have such a hard time forgiving the Clintons is because trolls are writing racists things while pretending to be Clinton supporters to make sure we keep associating the HRC campaign with racists and racism. The main point of my thread was to expose the GOP's 2008 gameplan.

I really need to sit down and think about this more, how much who's being played and how.
