Little noticed by the powers that be, Ron Paul keeps chugging along. Oh sure, he gets some votes and his supporters still hope against hope that pledged delegates aren't realy pledged to anything, and well, maybe, just maybe, ol' crazy man McCain will fall over dead or have another one of his infamous scream fests and Ron Paul will come in to save the day. Riiiiiiiiiiight.

Conversely, on the Democratic ticket, we have our own Ron Paul. Someone who is mathematically eliminated. Someone who has a less-than-zero percent chance of winning the party nomination. But there is always hope. Maybe Barack Obama will tear off his mask and reveal he is really an alien from another planet. Or maybe something 1000x worse and more inflammatory than Revered Wright will surface. They can always hope for the worst.

Were that person anyone other than the wife of a former President, her campaign would attract as much notice as does Ron Paul. She would roundly be called on to end the campaign and get out of the way.

"Hey Hill, you aren't helping. And you aren't gonna win either."

But indeed, she has the name. She also boasts a considerable legion of lemmings willing to dive off a cliff in order to maintain the illusion that this is still a race.

Indeed.

So she slogs on. Sullying her good name, damaging the reputation of her formerly admired spouse, and depleting the coffers of the Presumptive Nominee in order to continue her own vainglorious Bataan Death March of futility.

Calls for her to exit the race fall on deaf ears.

So fine. The only response is no response at all. She should get the same amount of attention as does Ron Paul.

So fine, Hillary, continue your babbling, your squabbling, your campaign-in-name only.

The rest of us are moving on without you.

The is the last post in which I will mention the Sentator from New York, her campaign or her followers. All posts from this point forward will be about John McCain and the Obama campaign.
