If there's an attack of some sort he can conveniently blame on Iran, then everything's up up for grabs, imho.

I think he is going to have to have a damn good reason to do any sort of attack on Iran. Even if it's a manufactured reason, it would have to be something on the level of 9/11, wouldn't it?
I mean, a lot of people, left and right are pretty pissed about the whole going to Iraq thing on false pretenses at this stage. I know it's a huge possibility based on Ritter, et al, but I can't imagine they could pull it off without something pretty significant to rally people to support something like that.

I dunno, maybe i'm just not getting it...
