As for donations. Simple law of diminishing returns.

Out of a pool of likely donors the trend is there will be a growth of donors interested and it will grow until it hits the high point. Then because there is less in the pool the numbers on rates go down.

As the campaign has been long and difficult. There is not going to be all that many interested in donating for the first time left.

I do not know if he will hit 1.5 by May 6.. Depends on the people waiting for the results of PA before they donate. Tho if he keeps up a steady rate on new donors he will do fine in my view.

Remember may is the last month of major campaigning for the race. And the number of donors continues to Climb. That leaves a good number of people who can can still donate and have not maxed out. That means that throughout May he is going to be pretty free to spend a good amount of money downstream to start touching states that have not seen much activity yet.

On top of several state conventions giving Obama more press coverage.

Overall I think things are great.
