When she first went really negative. He has put himself above the petty nonsense and bullshit gutter politics and cannot practice those type of attacks. She can do it all she wants because she never based her campaign on not doing it and if Barack turns around and gives her what she deserves he looks like a hypocrite. The high road is a tough road to travel because no one else is going to take it, particularly not Clinton or the RW who fight the same way.

He really could have killed her with the Bosnia lie but he didn't. He could have went after her hardcore on the Columbian trade deal and Penn's involvement but didn't. He's going to live or die with his new brand of politics. He will not step on her throat as she deserves and she knows it. And it may cost him, and all of us, in the end. But it might not, if he can get through this trial by fire and come out clean at the end, he may well indeed change the way Washington politics work.
