10. A bit of perspective
It's ironic that so much of the angst around Hillary's inability to win the nomination centers around the hopes that the dreams of the first female candidate would be so crushed. She was never my first choice (for reasons of "dynasty", even if once removed), but for a long time if she had pulled out the nomination I would have supported her in words and deeds. Until the lying, until the damning of a fellow Democrat. But I digress...

no, what I think we should remember is the human element. Yes, her hopes were dashed, but were they any more dashed than those of other candidates who have not won? Many or most candidates put their hearts and souls--theirs and their family's--into the campaign, only to fail at some point. There is simply more talent and more enthusiasm than we have elected posts for. That means that every election cycle dreams will be crushed. They need to move on. We need to move on, with compassion for those who tried but could not make it.

I just don't believe that "it will take another generation" to have a woman in the White House. It could well be a single election cycle away.
