Sherrod Brown is a great choice for VP

Upside:
- Better chance of taking Ohio.
- He won in a red state against a Rethug despite being pro gay rights, pro stem cells, pro abortion, and anti war. Unapologetically D to the core!
- Did I mention he was anti-war?
- Opposes NAFTA. I can see BO and him tag teaming McCain in the Midwest and Pennsylvania. He's the only potential VP choice I know of who strongly opposes NAFTA.
- Good debater. Has a good gravely voice.
- Nice all American last name to balance Barack's worldly appeal. (for Joe Sixpack's consumption of course)
- Brainy. He is a teacher. Wife Connie Schultz has won the Pulitzer.

Downside:
- No foreign policy credentials.
- A newbie, which can be good or bad. The image of two outsiders wanting to take back Washington from filthy corruption is undeniably attractive.

Conclusion: Anyone see anything wrong with this? The only argument I can see against him is lack of foreign policy, which I admit is big. But can we make up for that by slamming NAFTA, CAFTA, etc?
