Think about it.

John Edwards: turns out to be a narcissistic egomaniac philandering fool. If he had won the nomination, we would have been toast once his affair was uncovered.

Leiberman: Is a turncoat who John McCain clearly wanted to choose for his VP but lost his nerve. No doubt Leiberman would have taken it. If McCain wins, heaven forbid, expect Leiberman to be his Secretary of State. He's got no future whatsoever in a democratic Senate.

Ferraro: Turns into a race-baiting apologist for who knows what. Did Hillary more harm than good in her attacks on Obama and now is doing Obama no favors.

What's up with that and our recent VP choices? Has there ever been anything like this in the annals of political history?
